We just had our first guest irises bloom! They are definitely starting to think about the Convention.
First up in the Messer garden was ‘Wild Whispers’ by Carol Coleman with color visible April 5th and first blooms opened on the 9th. It is an Iris pumila listed as a very early bloomer. The Jurik garden had the top bloom photo April 13th.
The other guest iris bloom in the Messer garden was ‘Royal Wonder’ another Coleman iris. It is a MDB listed as early bloom, April 11th in this case.

Both irises are by Agnes Whiting. The left one is ‘Maytime’ and the right one is ‘Three Oaks’. Both links are to the Iris Encyclopedia entries.
