The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden welcomes convention attendees for a spring garden party in the DuPont Room and on the Bankers Trust Veranda overlooking the gardens. Guests may browse the gardens, mingle and enjoy a welcome reception menu of small plates and heavy hors d’oeuvres features Trellis Catering by Chefs Lisa and Michael LaValle. Menu includes an Iowa charcuterie display with local South Union breads and crisps, mini stuffed focaccia Cuban sandwiches, DIY bruschetta bar and more. Full cash bar available in addition to non-alcoholic beverage stations. Busses will shuttle convention attendees from the Downtown Marriott to the Botanical Garden beginning at 5:30 p.m. Return shuttles to the hotel will start at 7:30 p.m. The Welcome Reception runs from 6-8 p.m.
